Searching for a vibrant destination to imbibe in Richmond, BC? Look no further than Cask Whisky Vault, the latest addition to Club Versante’s expanding food & beverage program.
Officially open as of November 3, Cask offers guests an expansive single malt, bourbon and blended whiskey selection within a lively, Izakaya-style dining atmosphere. A sanctuary of style and an unapologetic celebration of the finer things in life, Cask complements its line-up of spirits with a menu of Japanese-inspired cuisine. A number of small plates — like the Truffle Potato “Okonomiyaki,” Jumbo Prawn Tempura, and Dry-Aged Beef Tartare — are on offer for those in the mood to graze; those with a heartier appetite may opt for the Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Beef Katsu Sando (topped with truffle honey katsu sauce and white kimchi), Lamb Chops, and other dishes from the Savoury menu category. The intimate 65-seat dining room is anchored by a Robata, where a variety of grilled items like Wagyu Beef, Hokkaido Scallops, and Abalone Motoyaki skewers are prepared. A sophisticated 30-foot custom bar centres the room, pouring a selection of hand-crafted cocktails, wines and local craft beer. For a flavourful Japanese-style libation, order the signature Cask Sour, infused with Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky, Glavya, fresh lemon, aromatic & orange bitters, egg white and dried chili.
Cask features live entertainment Thursday through Sunday, and a line-up of signature events throughout the year. More intimate tasting experiences are available in one of two private tasting rooms, each accommodating up to 12 guests.
